Cash Gifts and Pledges
The easiest and most common way to support RSAM is to make an outright gift or pledge of cash. Pledges can also be made over a period of time, usually up to three years.

Matching Gifts
Many employers match the gift their employees make to RSAM. Please check with your employer to see if your company has a charitable contribution matching gifts program. If so, your gift may be increased or even doubled simply by filling out a form from your employer.

A Gift of Life Insurance
You may wish to contribute a life insurance policy to RSAM that is no longer needed for its original purpose. Simply ask the life insurance company for a Designation of Beneficiary form. By naming Rett Syndrome Association of Massachusetts, Inc.as the beneficiary, the proceeds of the policy would pass to RSAM at your death.

To make an irrevocable transfer that will receive gift credit, you must name Rett Syndrome Association of Massachusetts, Inc. as both beneficiary and owner. You will receive gift credit for the cash surrender value of the policy and you may claim that value as an income tax deduction in the year of the transfer. RSAM will then redeem the policy for its cash value and use the proceeds for research and educational purposes.

To discuss a gift to RSAM or various giving options, please contact Maria McTernan. Checks can also be mailed to:
